Kind, compassionate, strong willed, loving. That was my Aunt Karen. My favorite Aunt. Her and I shared a deep love of animals, domesticated and wild. I have a life time of memories of her, every single one was good. Her hugs. She would hug you SO hard, sometimes, it took your breath for a moment. You KNEW you were hugged and you knew you were loved. I will miss you so much Aunt Karen. You were so very brave

To Karen's family; Sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Thanks to her we have many great memories of our childhood. So glad she would let us come hang out with you in your pool in the summer. Many great times playing Marco Polo. Then of course all the games of tag running around the yard. Just found out yesterday otherwise would have made a point to be at the funeral. Your long time friend and neighbor, Michael Rizzo. Still in the same house if you ever pass through the old neighborhood.

Mark, Kim, David & families, we were very saddened to hear of your mom's passing. Aunt Karen was such a kind, caring person.
I remember always feeling happy when she and your dad visited. Your mom had way of making those around her feel loved. She will be missed and remembered fondly. We will be making a donation, in her honor, to Messinger Woods. We hope your memories of her will bring you comfort during this difficult time. Please know that you are in our thoughts.
Love, Amy and Bill Cluckey

Over the years, Donna and I worked with Karen on the rehabilitation of many, many wildlife animals. In addition to being a wonderful person to work with, she was an excellent rehabber- kind, compassionate and very knowledgeable on the needs and habits of wildlife. Karen loved animals. On more than one occasion I visited her front porch on a matter of wildlife rehabilitation, and found it filled with cages of various critters. Like a lot of dedicated rehabbers, Karen just could not say "no" to an animal in need. Godspeed, Karen, we and the wildlife will greatly miss you.

I worked with Karen at Fotomat. She always did whatever it took to get the job done. She was fun to work with too! We shared a lot of good times while working together. I am sorry for your loss. My sincerest sympathies to Karen's family.
