Trudy and Don were always a part of life since I was born. Our families grew up together and did a million things together – holiday celebrations (especially New Year’s Eve), picnics, swimming at the beach, vacation, card parties! The “girls”, Trudy, Jane, Iris and my mother Louise, were close loving friends all their lives. Trudy was funny, loving, a dedicated sports fan, easy to be with and included everyone in any activity. She made a macaroni and cheese to die for! And, she could out jitterbug anyone on the dance floor. It was so much fun to watch. I was very fortunate to have had her in my life. She will always be in my heart and memories.

My second mom and I couldn't have asked for more. Amazing mom, gramma & great gramma, wife, cook, sports fans, jart player, card player - I could go on and on - she deserves to be at peace and catch up with Don - I'm sure he's telling her some corny jokes and she's rolling her eyes and smiling at him. Both Dave and I had the best parents and such great memories to hold on to.

They say you can choose your friends, but, not your family. How, I believe I am an exception to the rule. I met Trudy in the summer of 1971 prior to marrying my wife Lisa Dietrich. Trudy was an enigma to me. She loved watching and talking about a multitude of professional sports, playing poker, jarts, horse shoes, and most any competitive game you can imagine. She had a beautiful smile, a great laugh and could tell a joke as well as anyone I ever met. I endeared myself to her almost immediately. Over the years my fondness continued to grow. I am very grateful Trudy was an integral part of my life. I am comforted in knowing she at peace.
