Jeff was part of the" Lakeshore " group, as was I, we grew up going to the same schools, hung out at times, all the way through to high school. It gave us all an unspoken special bond, as we came and went throughout our lives. Always a special place in our hearts for each other. That is how I felt with Jeff. even as I left the area we grew up in, pretty much after high school. Regrets on not keeping in touch over the years. My heartfelt sympathies to Tom and Lynne, Jeff was truly one of kind and made an imprint on all of us. Rest in piece my friend, you are always with me in thought. My Love.

Jeff, one of my very best friends. We had a lot of crazy and fun times together. Loved that guy. Every time I came to Buffalo, we always got together. Jeff and I went to Uncle Sam's one night, we got pretty lit up, we didn't meet any girls, when we were leaving the bar, we saw 2 pretty girls leaving, so Jeff ran toward them and laid himself across the hood of their car. Probably scared the poor gals to death. Fun times!

I knew Jeff Pemberton from the day he came home from the hospital as a newborn to the day he left this earth.
You see, our Mothers were girlfriends way before they married our Fathers. Jeff and his brother Tom lived on East Parkway and my sister Pattie and I lived across the park on Amstel Road. Tom and I were the first born and Jeff and Pattie came along in 1951. Our families celebrated New Years Eve together playing porker at our kitchen table. We did 4th of July, picnics at Chestnut Ridge, watched each other’s sporting events as we grew older and just hung out as teenagers. All 4 of us graduated from Frontier Central. Recently Jeff wrote me a hand written letter going over times and people gone bye. Kinda like a recap of our glory days. We all thought we were invincible. Life was not always easy for the 4 of us and when my baby sister died in 2008 Jeff was there for me with his take on the meaning of life. Jeff was a tender man, he just got a cat to sleep on his chest. He was a believer of “heal thyself”. On the 50th anniversary of Woodstock he emailed me about being there and how seeing the hillside with all the people was mind boggling, a cool Jeff word. He said the music was good but the intensity of the rain on Saturday was what stayed with him years later. He wrote he was into John Prine’s album Diamonds in the Rough. He always signed, Love Jeff. So farewell for now my friend. You and Pattie finally got to be first at something. Hope you are causing Rita and Elma a little grief. Bet they are both smoking.
I Love you my friend. Eileen Hirsch Jones

I've known Jeff since my family moved out of Buffalo in 1958 and I entered the 2nd.grade at Cloverbank. We had literally moved the day before school commenced that year. I was the "new kid" and was getting picked on. Jeff, who was taller than most of us, intervened and we were fast friends from that day onward. So many great memories..........words aren't working right now..........I hope someday we'll be together again; I love you Jeff.
My sincere condolences to you Tom, Lynn, and the others in your family. Someone very special was here in our lives and is going to be sorely missed.
