Planted in the area of greatest need

Being a former LVAD patient and current Heart Transplant recipient myself I formed a very special bond 6 years ago when I met Frank at an LVAD picnic. We became great friends from that day forward and stayed in touch regularly, breaking bread with my wife, Frank and Nancy, had many laughs and serious moments on the phone, got involved in his charity golf tournament and watched his tremendous passion to help the nurses at URMC Strong Memorial. My wife and I were blessed with the opportunity and thankful to spend a few hours with him 2 days before he passed. Frank was a special guy and I will miss him dearly. We will meet again some day in heaven buddy!

Frank was a very special guy who in an instant touched your life and left an everlasting wonderful impression. He will be missed by so many and I am sure took a piece of every heart with him. My deepest sympathy to Nancy and the whole family. Rest in Peace my friend because I know you have a special place with so many LVAD/Transplant patients in Heaven.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Pluta family and friends. Frank has left lasting impressions on so many lives, it’s impossible to put into words the effect he had on the world around him. So many memories over last 30 or so years makes it hard to share just one. I will say this though, the neighborhood won’t be the same without you Frank. All of the dogs in our area are going to be treat less, the snow will pile up in all of our driveways, and sunshiny Saturday morning will be oh so quiet without hearing you yell, “Ma, where the coffee!” You were a force to be reckoned with Mr. Frank! We sure will miss you! Until we meet again my friend!
